Include these 4 elements in your class to keep existing customers and gain new ones.
- Firstly, apply the brakes!
Before you go hell for leather into thinking about what exercises you can beast your clients with stop and think about the PURPOSE of the class!
- What are you attempting to achieve with the class?
- What is the outcome going to be for the client?
- NO, “cos I love beasting them” isn’t an answer
2. Next, consider the implications of TEAM work during your class. Spending time forging strong bonds between your clients will only pay dividends longer term. Get your customers to be happy in each other’s company by offering them a shared experience.
3. People want results right? So make sure you give them a hard enough time to gain them. We don’t expect aimless shouting (your customers aren’t in the Army), but we do expect measured and purposeful commands to be given. Motivate your customers and help them get into the right MINDSET for success.
4. Same, same, same…boring, boring, boring. If you’re one of those trainers who does the same thing over and over then guess what…your customers will leave you. Mix up the classes and make them FUN. Give your customers the opportunity to behave like children in your class and they’ll grab it with both hands. Laughter has a funny affect on the brain, so make them laugh and they’ll keep coming.
Consider and include these 4 things when planning a group exercise class and you’ll do a great job.
